Marshmallow and Toothpick Geometry – Kindergarten

Description

Always a favorite for the Math Adventures students! The students will learn 3 dimensional geometry while having fun building.

***Note teacher discretion on whether the students may eat any marshmallows, there may be allergies and/or dietary restrictions***

Helpful Worksheets can be found here.

It can also be fun to show the kids pictures of buildings that have unique 3D structures. Pyramids, Skyscrapers, the Sydney Opera House, etc.

For older kids, introducing engineering challenges such as holding up pennies, building bridges, and tall towers provide an extra challenge.

Instead of letting the children take the structures home, I recommend taking pictures of the structures.
